Thursday, November 7, the second edition of CIIE - China International Import Expo - Shanghai opened its doors to professionals. Reunited by the Monaco Economic Board, the delegation of the Monaco Embassy in China and a dozen companies, met at the Monaco Pavilion to present the Principality's economic assets to visitors.
HE Catherine Fautrier, Monaco's Ambassador to China, also witnessed the signing of the contract for the sale of part of FRIMO's capital to Chinese company BAIYANG.
The CIIE, which aims to make China the essential platform of world trade, was opened on November 5 by President XI Jinping before an audience of senior dignitaries, heads of state, foreign ministers and ambassadors. HE Catherine Fautrier represented the Principality on the occasion of this official opening.
In his address, President Xi Jinping emphasized the need to build a more cooperative global economy based on consultation and cooperation. He said, "We have to give our hands rather than let go of the hand and tear down walls rather than build them."
155 countries, 26 international organizations and 3 893 companies participate, until November 10, in this second edition whose main theme is: "A new era, a shared future".
